SafeRide is ride-sharing service provided by The School of the Art Institute (SAIC) and campus security to current SAIC students, faculty and staff as a safe and free alternative to walking alone after dark. The service is offered for enhanced student safety and make it easy to get a ride between campus building through a mobile device.
The launch of this mobile application (powered by Translōc) required a campaign to help the community become aware of it. The campaign included adverts for several platforms and a responsive microsite. The microsite features how-to's (how to download and use the app), an interactive map, and similar information housed for quick access. Adverts were created and displayed on screens all over campus and large posters were displayed near security desks and high traffic areas for extra visibility.
The mobile application itself was configured and changed to align with SAIC's branding standards while still using TransLōc's "out of the box" features. Assisting in this process, I was able to mock-up and art direct those assisting in the changes.
