Superdawg® Drive-In was established in 1948 at the cross section of Milwaukee, Devon and Nagle in Chicago, Illinois. It continues to be family owned and operated and has become a staple in Chicago's food scene for its made to order hotdogs, cheeseburgers, fresh cut crinkle fries and more. With a strong foodie following, it has stood the test of time (and a pandemic.)
Through the years I have fallen in love with this establishment and love to see my steamy, hot food arrive to my car window in its bright red and blue packaging. I had noticed their website homepage, although very functional, did not quite match the excitement of the drive-in. I decided to conduct brief user research in order to create an improved homepage prototype for Superdawg that better reflected the drive-in's energy while also making the homepage more accessible and create a better user experience overall. This project was not part of a contract with Superdawg, but instead a passion project and part of my UXUI certification at the New School.
Project Components:
User Research on current homepage which included user interviews with prompts and questions regarding homepage accessibility, design, user journey, and site mechanics (available upon request)
Wireframe/sketches of homepage prototype
Prototype designs (both mobile and desktop)
